[origin: EP1477734A2] The combustion chamber has two laterally- positioned service openings (14,14'). A fuel feed pipe may introduce solid fuel through the first service opening from which it falls onto the grate. Primary air passes up into sector-shaped chambers under the grate and passes between the motor-driven overlapping concentric rings of the grate into the fuel bed. A double-walled structure (7) in the combustion chamber forms a tangential secondary air inlet (8). The secondary air flows in a horizontal direction, and sweeps burning combustible gases into a secondary combustion chamber (10). The combustion chamber has double walls and cooling water flows in and out through pipes (24,25).
