Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1479626A2] The sheet material feeder has a holder (20) for a stack of sheet material (10), a rotatable drum (30) for the transporting of the sheet material from the stack, and an accelerating mechanism (50) to receive the sheet material from the rotatable drum at a first speed and for the release of the sheet material at a second speed which is greater than the first. The accelerating mechanism comprises a number of delivery bands (52,54) with variable speeds.
