Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1479973A2] The method involves monitoring the operation of the burner (12) and producing a burner signal (32) that can take the values BURNER OFF and BURNER ON, monitoring the burner's exhaust gas flow and deriving an exhaust gas signal (34) with EXHAUST GAS OFF and EXHAUST GAS ON states and combining the signals to output a fault signal (36) in the event of a combination that is not permitted. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) an arrangement for monitoring the sealing of a radiation pipe heated by a gas burner.
