Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03045587A1] The invention relates to a sifting device comprising a sieve box which is moved in oscillation by means of a drive (4), as a basic oscillation system having first horizontal, transversal carriers (1.3), and an additional oscillation system (2) which is fixed to the sieve box (1) and has second horizontal, transversal carriers (2.3) which are arranged parallel to said first transversal carriers. Said horizontal, second transversal carriers are respectively arranged between two first transversal carriers (1.3) and are connected to the same by means of extensible sieve lining strips (3). In the case of two successive transversal carriers, the transversal carrier which is located nearer to the feeding side (A) is positioned higher than the following transversal carrier which is nearer to the discharge side (B). The sifting device is provided with at least two sections, the difference in height between the centres of gravity of two successive transversal carriers (1.3, 2.3) being larger in the section on the feeding side than in the section on the discharge side.
