Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03069072A1] The invention relates to equipment that is used to protect buildings against flooding. The inventive equipment (1) consists of a modular assembly of constituent elements comprising: a fixed part (5) which is formed, for example, for a door or window (2), of two posts (5) which are fixed to the wall (6) on either side of said door; and a horizontal plate (3) which rests on the surface of the ground, the ends of said plate being hermetically connected to the lower ends of the fixed posts (5). Said equipment also comprises movable parts consisting of stackable side panels (7), which can be hermetically assembled to the fixed posts (5), and stackable front panels (8) which are parallel to the wall. The aforementioned front panels provide a leaktight connection with the side panels and are supported by the base plate and said side panels. When the ground is very soft, the base plate (3) can be replaced by a buried plate which is equipped with piles.
