[origin: WO03072898A1] Household appliance doors exist which are mounted in a manner that enables them to pivot about a joint axis (12, 65) and have a door handle (17) that can pivot about a door handle axis (19) running parallel to said joint axis (12, 65). At least one controlling mechanism (38) is assigned to the door handle (17). When the door (5) executes a pivotal movement in a first pivoting direction, this controlling mechanism pivots the door handle (17) in a second pivoting direction opposite the first pivoting direction. The aim of the invention is to achieve a reliable actuation of the door handle. To this end, the door handle (17) is pivotally mounted in a bearing housing (21) and the bearing housing (21) extends in an axial direction along the entire door (5).
