[origin: WO03072931A1] A fuel injection valve (1), particularly for directly injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, comprises a valve needle (3) that, at its discharging end, has a valve closing body (4). This valve closing body interacts with a valve seat face (6), which is provided on a valve seat body (5), in order to create a sealing seat. The fuel injection valve also comprises at least one swirl duct (34) located inside a section (36) of the valve seat body (5) surrounding the valve needle (3), and comprises at least one discharge opening (7) that is provided inside the valve seat body (5). When viewed in the direction of the flow of fuel through the swirl duct (34), the at least one swirl duct (34) is slanted with regard to the central axis (37) of the valve needle (3) while extending away from the direction of discharge.
