[origin: WO03073003A1] Known household devices comprise a useful storage volume (3) which can be closed by a door (5), and having a storage compartment (61) arranged below the useful storage volume (3), wherein the door (5) can be displaced. The door (5) is associated with a guiding system (58) comprising at least one slide track (63) wherein a guiding element (59) associated with the door (5) is guided by displacing the door (5) from a closed position and moving it into the storage compartment (61). The aim of the invention is to produce the same size of household device with an increased useful storage volume. According to the invention, the slide track (63) comprises a start section (90) which initially guides the door in an upward direction when it moves out of the closed position.
