Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03075114A1] The invention relates to a device for adjusting a connecting piece (6) that is mounted on a bearing device (5) in a manner that enables it to rotate. The connecting piece is preferably part of a foot control in a motor vehicle, to which a transmission unit (7) for transmitting the motion of the connecting piece (6) is coupled. The inventive device comprises an adjusting mechanism (4) for adjusting the position of the connecting piece (6), and a locking unit that prevents an unwanted adjustment of the connecting piece (6). The bearing device (5) comprises a bearing shell (3) and a base plate (1). The bearing shell (3) is displaceably connected to the base plate (1) that is mounted on the vehicle in a fixed manner. When the locking unit is disengaged, the bearing shell (3) can be displaced along the base plate (1) in such a manner that the position of the transmission unit (7) coupled to the connecting piece (6) remains unchanged when adjusting the connecting piece (6) that is mounted on the bearing device (5), whereby the adjusting mechanism (4) is integrated in the bearing device (5).
