[origin: WO03075297A1] Disclosed is a film keyboard with a number of operating areas, particularly for use in a potentially explosive environment, comprising a covering film made of an insulating material, an electrically conductive layer that is arranged underneath the covering film, and a conductor film which is disposed in an insulated manner across from the conductive layer and is provided with a number of strip conductors and circuit elements that are placed below the operating areas. The invention is characterized by the fact that a conductive layer is configured as a coating which is made of a conductive material and is arranged on the inside of the covering film, that at least one contact element permanently touches the coating of the covering film so as to create a conductive connection between the covering film and at least one strip conductor that is maintained at a specific potential, and that at least some partial areas of the coating are provided with an electrically insulating coat of lacquer above the circuit elements.
