Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1482078A2] The spinning pot (2) is mounted on the spindle (1) so that it remains stationary while the spindle rotates. The support (6) for the inner bobbin (12) is suspended at the top from the spinning pot cover (4) and is clear of the spinning pot base (3). The support (6) has a central bore (6c) in which yarn handling or treatment devices, e.g. yarn tensioners (8), can be accommodated. An independent claim is also included for the process of cabling two yarns (13, 14) where one yarn (13) is drawn off downwards from a bobbin (12) and then taken upwards through the central bore (6c) of the bobbin support (6). The two yarns (13, 14) are combined at a balloon guide (15) to form the cord. The yarn is taken through handling devices within the central bore (6c).
