Abstract (en)
An electromagnetic delivery valve (14) is operated according to engine operation state to supply liquid fuel to an injection unit (15) comprising a piezoelectric or electrostrictive element to decompose injected fuel into fine particles. An electric controller (30) deactivates the element when fuel pressure within the injection unit is maintained at a low constant value.
