[origin: WO03076137A1] The interchangeable hard metal plates of manual sharpening devices are laid in or inserted into recesses or a cavity of the device body and must be fixed in said position. In known devices, this is achieved by means of a screw. According to the inventive solution, the hard metal plates are fixed by snap-in locking parts. This provides favourable means of rapidly and reliably fixing the hard metal plates in terms of assembly engineering and allows said plates to be easily detached without tools. The snap-in locking part can take the form of a cover plate, or can overlap the hard metal plate in a U-shaped manner.
