Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03072319A1] The invention relates to a universal slicer provided with an at least approximately cuboid-shaped housing (2) having a rear wall (4) and a front wall (3) which is arranged at a distance from the rear wall (4). A gap (5) is formed, said gap being accesible via a removable housing wall (2a) and being used to receive a drive unit consisting of a drive motor (7) and a gear mechanism (6) provided in order to drive a revolving blade (1) which is associated with the front wall (3). In order to provide the housing of one such universal slicer with a high degree of rigidity in a simple manner and to create a universal slicer which is easy to mount, the removable housing wall (2a) is formed by one of the narrow-sided housing walls (2a,2b,2c,2d) and the other housing walls (2b,2c,2d) are joined to form a unit, thereby resulting in a very stable universal slicer structure.
