Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03076172A1] The invention relates to a compacting press for powdery to granular bulk materials, comprising two rollers (1, 2), which are arranged in a plane, are driven in opposite directions and which are mounted on a roller housing (11). Of these two rollers (1, 2) at least one, preferably the upper roller (1), is provided in the form of an idle roller and is flexibly supported on force generators (16, 17). A separate electric motor-operated drive (18a, 18b, 19a, 19b, 21a, 21b, 22a, 22b) is connected at both ends (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b) of each roller (1, 2). The idle roller (1) supports drives (21a, 21b, 22a, 22b). When in a vertical arrangement, the roller housing (11) consists of two separate parts (11a, 11b) whereby enabling an easy assembly and disassembly and, to be precise, consists of a lower part (11b) comprising one roller (2) and of an upper part (11a), which comprises the idle roller (1), is mounted on this lower part (11b) via a swivel bearing (13) and which can be locked. The swivel bearing (13) enables the upper part (11a) to be swung open.
