[origin: EP1484273A1] The device (10) has actuation elements on a front surface and an insert (20) with an aperture opening in at least one lateral surface of the device, in which an auxiliary operating element can be inserted in the direction of an axis (24) at least approximately parallel to the front surface. The insert for accommodating the auxiliary operating element has a switch arrangement that is mechanically operated by turning the auxiliary operating element about the axis.
