Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1484453A1] Overflow and drainage fitting for sanitary appliances comprises an overflow pipe connected to a drainage opening and having in the flow direction firstly a vertical channel and after an overflow edge a return channel. On reaching a pre-determined water level (27) in the sanitary appliance, the overflow pipe forms a closed flow (34) that removes water from the sanitary appliance. Preferred Features: The discharge rate of the closed flow is greater than a maximally permissible incoming rate, especially greater than about 0.61/sec.
