[origin: EP1484468A2] Insulating glass frame (1) comprises at least two parallel insulating glass panes (3) arranged without contact, and insulating bars (2) arranged between the insulating glass panes in the edge region to hold them apart. At least sections of the insulating bar are inwardly offset from the glass edges (4) of the insulating glass panes so that the insulating glass panes protrude over the insulating bar to create an overhang. Preferred Features: A T-shaped construction element (5) having at least one fixing device and at least one functional element is inserted into the overhang.
