[origin: EP1484509A1] The double fan assembly (1) has two motor powered co-axially driven radial fans (2,3), with a fan sub-assembly on each of the electric motor shaft ends, and a casing sub-assembly (16) housing the fan sub-assembly. The casing sub-assembly consists of two separate fan casings (18) to accommodate each fan impeller and a separate support element (20) for support of the fan sub-assembly in the region of the electric motor (4). The two fan casings by the support element (20) are interconnected and connected to the fan sub-assembly to form a premounted overall sub-assembly.
