[origin: EP1484734A2] The information carrier has a panel (12) for displaying information which comprises symbols, at least in part. Several identical symbol segment arrangements (20) are arranged on the panel, each of which displays one of the symbols. By removing desired segments, the required symbol is displayed by the remaining segments. The panel may be a paper or card, or plastics surface. The information may be text or image information, including 7-segment numerals.
