Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1484946A2] An organic electroluminescent display device and a method of manufacturing it are provided that enable to form a microlens (17) without affecting an organic luminescent layer (14) during the manufacturing process, and to easily manufacture an organic electroluminescent display device with increased light output efficiency. A lens pattern (17a) corresponding to a microlens (17) that refracts the light from an organic luminescent layer (14) is formed by photolithographic treatment on a transparent resin film formed on a substrate (11), and the microlens (17) is formed by reflow treatment on the lens pattern.
