Abstract (en)
Isolation unit has a confinement chamber with an open surface that contacts with and cover a surface to be treated. The open surface of the confinement chamber is created, and can be locked onto the surface to be treated. The confinement chamber includes a glove box for handling/removing contaminated articles or materials. Isolation unit has a confinement chamber (100) with an open surface that contacts with and cover a surface to be treated (10), such as a duct, container or ceiling covering a contaminated object. The open surface of the confinement chamber is created, e.g. by a detachable panel, and can be locked onto the surface to be treated, e.g. by threaded couplings or suction cups. The confinement chamber includes a glove box for handling/removing contaminated articles or materials.
