Abstract (en)
A chain mail curtain or screen has warp and weft threads. The two sides of the curtain are linked by a light-conducting body e.g. glass crystals distributed at various points throughout the screen. Also claimed is a process to fabricate the screen in which the chain mail is first knitted with warp and weft threads. A number of weft threads are then removed, leaving gaps which then accommodate suitable glass crystals.

Um ein Metallgewebe dergestalt zur Verfügung zu stellen, dass es den Metallgewebeimmanenten Effekt der Verdunkelung bei einer vorgegebenen Gewebedichte mindert oder sogar vollständig ausgleicht, wird ein Metallgewebe mit einem eine Gewebefläche durchdringen Lichtleitkörper vorgeschlagen. Außerdem wird ein Metallgewebe mit einer Vielzahl von Lichtleitkörpern beziehungsweise mit strukturell in das Gewebe integrierten Lichtleitkörpern vorgeschlagen. Außerdem wird ein Verfahren zum Herstellen eines Metallgewebes vorgestellt.
