Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1486641A1] The handrail has two parallel branches sliding in two support guides integrated with double jambs of a ladder (11). The handrail is locked in a position by a locking button (6) which pushes in translation a flange (4) for pushing the branches against the jambs. The handrail is in folded position when curved form comes in contact with the flange and is in unfolded position when stop (9) comes in contact with one of the guides.
