Abstract (en)

The invention relates to a system and method of providing the generation, storage and subsequent display of video representing a video item. The video item can be any event such as a concert, sports event or the like. In accordance with the invention, video camera are provided at at least two different locations and directed to record video of the video item from their respective locations. The video data for each location is stored on a video track of a recording medium such as a DVD. When the DVD is inserted into apparatus for decoding the data and generating a display on screen, the user can select which of the available views of the video item they wish to view. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
