[origin: WO03080584A1] Treatment of off-gas deriving from the pyrolysis reaction of urea to produce melamine, carried out in liquid phase at high pressure, wherein the off-gas is mixed with a cooling gaseous fluid, which rapidly cools the gaseous mixture to the de-sublimation temperature of the gaseous melamine which separates as solid phase, thus obtaining off-gas, anhydrous and without melamine, on the one hand and a fraction of high purity de-sublimated melamine, on the other.
