[origin: WO03080873A1] An enzyme mixture, suitable for removal of dung from animal skins as a preparative step in production of leather, is prepared by cultivating white rot fungi under conditions that induce formation of a significant amount of laccase. The mixture preferably contains the three enzymes cellulase, xylanase and laccase (ligninase).
