[origin: WO03081260A1] The invention relates to a method of producing a wheel speed sensor comprising a cable (15) containing electric connecting wires between the sensor and a data processing means, pins which are connected to the wires and to connecting legs of an element used to detect the rotation speed of the wheel of the vehicle, a first part (3) of a plastic-moulded casing comprising a shaft (13) which is moulded around one end of the wires of the cable and a cavity containing the pins and the detection element. The pins are separated from one another and the wires are separated from one another at the stripped end thereof. Moreover, the detection element is held in place in the aforementioned cavity of the first part of the casing by means of support knobs which form an integral part of said first part of the casing. The invention also comprises a second part (5) of the casing comprising a part which is used to isolate the pins and the detection element from the outside.
