The holder has a base (2) for fastening to a wall, and a front retainer (4) and/or shelf (15) for tools. It also has a retainer for detachable fastening of containers (14) especially for sorted storage of tools and/or materials via elements provided in retainers and/or containers, especially their lids (14.2). The elements are permanent magnets, and/or elastic locking elements, or locking/ clamping parts and/or projections locking into apertures. Container retainers are formed on e.g. a turntable (11) and/or the surface of a conical turntable. The holder/tidy consists of metal and/or plastic.
