Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1488895A2] The knife is wedge-shaped. It has a cutting surface (2) and a deflector surface (3) for the cut paper, and a cutting edge (4). The knife has integrated channels (10) for blown air, which open into outlets (11) in its deflector surface. The channels open into a connection bore (9), which is connected to a compressed air supply (13), e.g. a hose. The knife consists of a carrier (5) and a hard metal blade (6) fitted into it and connected by soldering.
