Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1489036A1] The illumination system has a transparent inner lining (3) of the balustrade (2) of the escalator or moving staircase system in the form of one or more mutually bounding, continuous plates (3.1) and one or more light bodies (6) in corresponding holders (11) for attachment to a mechanical structure (9,10) inside the balustrade and for full illumination of the inner lining. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) an escalator system or moving staircase system .
