[origin: EP1489229A1] A twin sieve for a paper or carton making process has a drum sub-divided into zones. The sieve separates from the drum at a point separated from the forming element by a distance of 80 to 110 mm. Both sieves may separate from the forming drum at the same point. The forming drum sieve separation point and the point at which the suspension impinges on the sieve are separated by a gap (B) of 20-30 mm. The forming drum (6) has two individually set suction zones.
