Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1489232A2] The device has a surface finisher, with asphalt distributor and tamping beam behind it to compress and smooth the asphalt, and a spray beam with nozzles for the binding agent, in front of the distributor. The spray beam (2) has extendable side sections (4) with a plate link chain (15) passing over a deflector pulley (16) and divided into two sections. The chain section extending at right angles to the longitudinal vehicle side engages on a telescopic side section (11) of the beam (8). The chain section extending the side of the vehicle chassis (1) is connected to a readjusting drive (20). The plate link chain has individually controlled spray nozzles (26).
