[origin: EP1489244A2] A platform e.g. a stage, balcony, stair or landing stage, has a box grid structure fabricated from metal strips (1, 3) linked by press-fitted cross-cut joints. The grid is surrounded esp. by a box frame (2) with vertical notches for batten (1, 3) matching tips (14). The frame is finally galvanised.
