The engine has a combustion chamber (2) with intake channel, outlet channel (3), and fuel supply . The outlet channel contains an adsorption and/or absorption element for intermediate storage of or uncombusted or partially combusted fuel. The element is formed by one very rough surface (4), or by a zone with reduced flow speed, esp. gap and/or a dead water area. Alternatively, it may be a perforated insert (6) in the outlet channel with an intermediate chamber (7) behind. The chamber may contain an adsorption/absorption layer (8).

2.1. Es wird eine Brennkraftmaschine für ein Kraftfahrzeug vorgeschlagen, mit einem Brennraum (2), dem ein Einlasskanal zur Zufuhr von Brenngas, ein Auslasskanal (3) zur Abfuhr von Verbrennungsprodukten sowie eine Kraftstoffversorgungseinheit zur Zufuhr von flüssigem Kraftstoff zugeordnet sind. 2.2. Erfindungsgemäß ist bei der Brennkraftmaschine in dem Auslasskanal (3) ein Adsorptions- und/oder ein Absorptionselement zur Zwischenspeicherung von unverbranntem oder teilverbranntem Kraftstoff angeordnet. Insbesondere sind im Auslasskanal ein perforiertes Einsatzelement und/oder eine Adsorptions- und/oder Absorptionslage vorgesehen. 2.3. Anwendung in Kraftfahrzeugen, insbesondere Personenkraftwagen. <IMAGE>
