Abstract (en)

[origin: DE10327889B3] The method involves determining the quiet listening threshold of a hearing aid wearer depending on the signal frequency of a test signal that is fed into the wearer's ear and adjusting the directional characteristic of the microphone system (1-3) depending on the frequency of the acoustic input signal and the determined threshold. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a hearing aid with a microphone system with a variable directional characteristic (b) and a programming device for programming a hearing aid.
