Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1351030A1] Device for compacting a continuous fiber composite (V) transported along a transport path (F) by heating or cooling comprises at least one nozzle arrangement (2a) on at least one side (3a) of the transport path for blowing an especially heated treatment medium (L) in the direction of the transport path. The nozzle arrangement has a number of blast nozzles (4) arranged next to each other a separation distance (a) apart with an intermediate space (5) in between. The intermediate space between the blast nozzles is/can be closed off from the transport path. An Independent claim is also included for a process for compacting a fiber composite. Preferred Features: The intermediate space between the blast nozzles is closed so that between the nozzle arrangement and the fiber composite a pressure chamber (6) is formed in which an excess pressure (P) is produced with the blast nozzles.
