[origin: EP1491686A2] The road salt spreader is mounted on a motor vehicle and has a hopper (1) with a salt conveyor (2) and a fluid tank (3) with a fluid feed. There is a disperser (5) for moistened salt (17) and a motorized mixing and homogenizing auger (12) mounted in a housing (12). The auger feeds moistened salt to the disperser. The fluid feed opens into the auger housing.
