Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1491691A2] A pneumatic device (3) for activating a valve assembly (2) of a flush tank (1) - wherein the valve assembly (2) has a valve body (9), and a shutter (10) movable with respect to the valve body (9) between an open position and a closed position - has an extensible pneumatic actuator assembly (15) for raising the shutter from the closed position to the open position when air is fed into the pneumatic actuator assembly (15) along a first air feed/return pipe (16) or along a second air feed/return pipe (17); and delaying means for delaying return airflow along the second pipe. <IMAGE>

[origin: EP1491691A2] The device has an extensible pneumatic actuator assembly (15) for raising a shutter (10) of a flush tank valve assembly from a closed position to an open position when air is fed into the assembly (15). Air is fed to and flows back from the assembly (15) along two pipes (16,17). A delaying unit in the form of an elastically deformable disk with jagged edge delays backflow of air along pipe (17).
