Abstract (en)

Method for output of a digital document to an output unit controlled by an output computer. According to the method monitor (MP) and output (BP) unit profiles are stored in the output computer and used with a color-management free application (A) that interacts with a program module (PM) installed in a color transformation unit (CMM) that provides color management functionality for converting an electronic document (D) prior to its printing on the output unit (B).

Um die farbgetreue Wiedergabe auch von solchen Dokumenten, speziell Präsentationen, welche mittels einer farbmanagementlosen Anwendungssoftware erstellt wurden, auf einem Ausgabegerät, speziell einem digitalen elektronischen Projektor (Beamer) zu ermöglichen, werden die digitalen Dokumente (D) auf dem Ausgaberechner (RA), der das Ausgabegerät (B) ansteuert, mittels eines Farbmanagementsystems in den Farbraum des Ausgabegeräts transformiert. Dazu wird auf dem Ausgaberechner (RA) neben der Anwendungssoftware (A) ein vorzugsweise als Add-In implementiertes Programm-Modul (PM) installiert, welches mit der Anwendungssoftware zusammenarbeitet und auf die darin geladenen Daten der auszugebenden Dokumente (D) zugreifen kann. Das Programm-Modul (PM) enthält eine Farbtransformationseinheit (CMM), welche anhand eines Monitor-Profils (MP) als Quellprofil und eines Ausgabegeräteprofils () als Zielprofil die Dokumente (D) in den Farbraum des Ausgabegeräts (B) transformiert. Die so transformierten Dokumente (D') werden dann aus der Anwendungssoftware (A) auf das Ausgabegerät (B) ausgegeben und von diesem visualisiert. <IMAGE>
