Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03082614A1] The invention relates to a method and a device for monitoring the state of tyres on a vehicle, whereby an error is detected according to the condition of the ground travelled over by the vehicle and in at least two different monitoring modes. A calibration record based on a wheel dynamics variable representing the state of the tyre is determined for each monitoring mode. The monitoring involves comparing the actual wheel dynamics variable with the respectively valid calibration record. The driver is informed of any error detected during the monitoring of the state of the tyre.
