Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03077207A1] The invention relates to a method of polling identification badges for motor vehicles comprising an identification device for the remote exchange of data with the identification badges. According to the invention, the badge polling process comprises the repeated transmission of identification requests by the identification device to the badges. Said method comprises the following successive steps, namely: detection (24) of a trigger event from a pre-determined set of trigger events linked to the vehicle; execution (26) of a preliminary test following the detection of the trigger event; and execution (28, 30) of at least one polling process from a set of possible polling processes according to the result of the preliminary test.
