[origin: EP1493533A1] Grinding machine, especially a cylindrical grinding machine has a machining table (1) with disk carriages (6, 12) on which disks (2, 3) are mounted and a workpiece mounting arrangement. The disks are aligned relative to the workpiece with an alignment device (17) that is mounted on its own carriage (18) that can be driven along a first axis (19) that is essentially parallel to the rotation axis (5, 11) of the corresponding disk. During a process the alignment device is fixed perpendicular to the movement axis.
