Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1493704A1] A textile machine has a parallel upright bobbin (S) winding station with a thread feed unit (5). The empty bobbins are lifted and transported to the winding station where they are wound on a turntable holder (9) with individual retaining sockets for each bobbin. The turntable has a power unit to position bobbins in the wind-on position. The turntable socket consists of a countersunk section for the bobbin flange and a central aperture for the bobbin core. The bobbin wind-up action is generated by a drive wheel in contact with the bobbin rim and step motor. The bobbins are wound in series, a full bobbin being replaced by a waiting bobbin on the turntable.
