[origin: WO03087749A2] The invention relates to a measuring amplifier device and to a measuring method for use with measuring bridges supplied with rectangular carrier frequencies, which comprises, after the amplifier circuit (3), at least one evaluating and arithmetic circuit (5). To this end, the evaluating circuit contains sampling (4) or comparison means (7, 8, 9, 10, 11), which sample the modulated measurement signal (Um) at least during a carrier frequency period (T) or compare it with a periodic reference signal (UD). For each half-wave of a carrier frequency period (T), amplitude values (Ap, An) or pulse-width modulated signals (UKp, UKn,) are generated from which the difference representing a direct value of the recorded measured quantity is calculated in the arithmetic circuit (5).
