[origin: EP1496145A1] A textile machine has a weft thread changing assembly with a pair of thread feed eyes for each weft feed. Each pair of eyes (411, 412; 423, 414) is located on a rider (41, 42). The riders move simultaneously in opposite directions on guides (51, 52) between a stand-by position (B) and an operating position (U). The eyes are moved by step motors (66) with pulley belts (6) running parallel to the guide rails (51, 52). The rider is fabricated of plastic. The eyes are fabricated of ceramic material.
