[origin: EP1496185A1] A method for fitting a servo drive to a sectional door, e.g. a garage door has a flexible C-profiled guide (12) fitted to one side of the existing guide (2) at one side of the door. The flexible guide holds a chain or flexible rack (11) which meshes with a pinion wheel drive (6) of the servo. The servo tractor unit is fitted with guide wheels (7, 12) which follow the two tracks and is connected to the upper panel (3) by a drag arm. The servo system can be retro-fitted to existing doors and requires no additional headroom.
