[origin: EP1496580A1] The pliers has a rotatable and displaceable crimping drum (3), at least one drum bolt that engages a slot in a transport lever when the drum is moved to its operating position.. The lever is reciprocally movable tangentially to the drum by operating the handles (6,7) of the pliers so that the drum turns with the bolt engaged in the slot. The slot widens to an open side and has a larger closed dimension than the bolt diameter in the expanded region, which is opposite the bolt in a rest position.
