[origin: WO03084857A1] The aim of the invention is to simplify a connection of a supporting plate (8), which is pivotally connected to the end of a supporting element of a jack via a joint, whereby a spring places the supporting plate (8) into a starting angular position relative to the supporting element and any starting angle can be predetermined. To this end, the spring is provided in the form of a spiral spring (17) with ends (18, 19) tangentially leading out from the spirals (16), whereby each of the ends (18, 19) is respectively connected to a fixing point of the supporting plate (8) or of the supporting element.
