Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1357127A1] Hepatitis C virus (HCV) epitopes that are specific for CD4+ T lymphocytes and have an impact factor (IF) at least equal to the mean value (MW) of all IF plus two standard deviations (SD) are new. Hepatitis C virus (HCV) epitopes that are specific for CD4+ T lymphocytes and have an impact factor (IF) at least equal to the mean value (MW) of all IF plus two SD. IF is defined as IF = (n1 + 1.5n2)/m x 100 where n1 = number of reactions where the stimulation index (SI) was over 3 but less than 6; n2 = number of reactions where SI was over 6; m = number of tests carried out with a particular peptide and is at least 15. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) vaccine that contains at least one (A); (2) diagnostic kit that contains at least one (A); (3) cDNA (B) that encodes (A); and (4) vaccine that contains at least one (B).
